circumscription, simulated

This is a simulate circumscription via the 3-D meta-framing with an example:

  • step 1: there are 3 basic concepts, each isolated terns;
  • step 2: each point is a fragment of insight, a competing point-of-view;
  • step 3: depth of insight forms via a recognition of the validity of all points-of-view in relation to each other;
  • step 4: pattern emerges and brings breadth;
  • step 5: attention to differentiated consciousness brings volume to each interrelated terms;
  • step 6: someone like Morin comes and says: “these are inseparable, irreducible terms–all part of a larger whole;
  • step 7: here we push further by a) populating this meta-concept with thinkers and works that produced the insights; b) the mode of thinking that produced the thinkers; c) the movements that produced the modes of thinking; and, what emerges is akin to an ecology of mind [Bateson]
